How to get more active members to show up online

If you have alot of members viewing your forum but logging out quickly and not posting, this may modification may work for your board. Its working for us at:
Soccer Goals www.footballclips.net

Tested on vbulletin version 3.

This is quite a disgusting method and I really should be ashamed of myself...
But it works! We have 10 active members and the last time we had that many was over a year ago.

The steps:
1) Make sure you have around 10 forums
2) Go into admincp and in forum manager edit 2 or 3 forums and include a minimum post of say something easy like 2-5.
3) Now go into Styles and Templates -> Edit Templates -> navbar templates -> navbar
4) Go into General Options -> Cookies and Http Header Options
and change Session Timeout to something ridiculous to like 50000

5) Find this line and below
and replace this line
with this
Ofcourse if members are smart, they will automatically know what the logout url is.
It could ofcourse backfire and leaving you're members leaving your site forever.
So use it at your own risk...

Personally our forum has been empty for more than a year, so we have don't have as much to lose.
