Failed Upgrade Step 6 - Install/Upgrade CMS

i recently moved the contents of my forum folder to my community folder (it would not let me rename so i moved) everything is fine except for my cms.. when i try to click the edit button or add new article it gives a invalid link and just redirects to index.. its almost like it duplicates the link..

so i figured their was a problem with the product and went through all the steps of un-installing and re-installing.. untill i finally restored my entire directory only to find it the same stuff happening with the cms.. so i have decided to to run my previous upgrade again jus to make sure everything is in check.. i have gotten to step 6 and this is what its telling me.. their is no back option.. anybody any ideas?

"Step 6) Install/Upgrade CMS

Installing product file...

XML Error: Empty document at Line 1

Product was not installed, please contact vBulletin support for assistance."

Help would be greatly appreciated i have been at this all night and im running low on juice..
