Cam Chat Addon
 

a week or 2 ago I could have sworn I saw someone post a VB4 addon that let u use the VB login for a cam chat app. the app used external service to serve the video & was designed for 1 to many broadcasting.

I'm looking for the addon now so I can investigate this cam service & can't find it anywhere. I thought I had tagged it so I assume it's been taken down. Possibly cause the chat was a pay service. (don't know if it was) it sounded like a www.stickam.com kinda deal but it was NOT that site.

anyone have any clue what I'm talking about? i don't remember the name of the mod or the chat client. just that it existed & that I'm interested in it

although I do beleive this thing is skype capable! so in fact that would do what you want i would guess :>

they chnaged it to a formatthat needs each client to install the program but i did find a google ap

This is understandable but a shame. The embedded googletalk chat client in gmail is wondefully useful and clever if you're stuck in an internet cafe.

thanks but ti was for vb4. it had just recently been released. when I came back to look closer at it, it was gone. I assume it was deleted for some good reason but then again, maybe I'm just searching for the wrong keywords. it was the kinda thing you'd use for live vid podcast to a group. it also recorded & saved the previous vids. it definitely was an outside service & this was just a login addon to let u set it up to use our username & passwords.

well its possable because i set up a vidio chat on mine a few minutes ago its kinda funky and its got some kind of nuy vredits feature i havent even looked at it really but it will let you enable vidio feed and chart

got on the computer I saw it from & checked the history. it looks like it was called AVChat 3. the thread on vb.org has been deleted so it's hard to tell. i should have looked at my cached page but stupidly clicked thru. now my cached page is the no permission page. :(

now I just wish I knew why. like was the company a rippoff or something? anyway, I guess I'll research it. thanks for the help

really sounds like a good idea to me now i do know a guy who has skype enabled on a 403 forum, i dont know how or what hes running it may be enabled un social networking i guess you could do that
