Suggestion: Text field above projects list
 

I would suggest a BB / html field above the projects list, where for example a description could be added. This field could be editable via the ACP options.

Not quite sure I understand?

You can already add descriptions to Projects.

Sorry if I was not clear.

On the default page as installed, at the top I get links to My Reports etc, under it I get a Project list and under it a Timeline list.

Above the project list, below the links, I'd like to have the possibility to add (text) content like "Here you can submit feedback for..... In order to keep postings private....To recive email notifications on updates....Read more here..." etc.

In another thread I wrote it this way:

• It would be nice to be able to add vB announcements and / or notices above the project listing, "Closed for vaccations " or "To post, you need to log in to the forum as a member".
• Add a simple BB or HTML text at top bottom (Project Tool Options) "This section is....."

Or can I do this already somehow without modding the code?

Think he means the main /project.php page above the first blockhead he wants to create his own information.

This is only possible with a template hack atm.

So how / where would I add hard coded text? Newbie...

I need to add something about the private option. In my previous system, all postings where private.

I also want to add a link to the PT FAQ.

Just installed 2.1.1 and it worked fine. Solved many bugs and issues.

I am still poking in the pt_project trying to find how to add some simple html on the top of the first page deafult view? of project.php

Thanks, but I stll need a solution now, even if a crude one. Advise on which line in the template to insert the content should be enough to me started.

Find this in pt_project:

Add it above that.
