Anyone else been hacked?
 
My forums were hacked last night. Having to reload everything. Why do people do this? What gratification do they get from it?

I just needed to vent because I have 4 kids who keep me very busy and now I have to try to fix everything. If my hacker is reading this, I just want to say thanks a whole bunch.

Anyone else been hacked?

It might even be his server that got hacked, not his vB install.

1. Setup htaccess files on crucial folders and allow users by IP address only (Specifically admincp/modcp)
2. Rename admincp/modcp.
3. Disable HTML sitewide
4. If it happened to your host, switch hosts.
5. Few others I can't remember ATM.

Yeah it was the server, they uploaded stuff into my FTP client.

This happened to me twice in one week. I'm beginning to think it's GoDaddy's server that's the problem.
