How to make a duplicate navbar template

I was wanting to create my own custom templates under my current skin. I don't want to use the original navbar. I want to create an all new one with totally different links than the forum one has.

The original has Forums, Whats New then below it has New Posts and Form Actions and all of that. I want to make a new custom template using a whole separate navbar but it will look the same but at the top have like Index1 Index2 Index3 below it will have actions yo can do on the page. Something like that.

How can I do this in an easy way? How would I call to the new template as I have tried duplicating it custom_navbar1 then trying $navbar1 and $custom_navbar1 yet doesn't work but i think for using that you need to add more so how can I do this. Please Help :)

I would create a new style and just change the navbar and then assign that styleid to the custom page you are creating. Or, you could do a big condition on the navbar and basically say "if any-page-but-custom, use standard navbar code, else use this other navbar code".

If you can't do any html, then you may want to find someone who can do it for you. There is no modification you can just upload that is going to do this for you. You are going to have to write a little bit of code.

Like here's what I want.

The one with the red arrows I want those links removed and I want to be able to add custom ones. I've been using the vBTabs mod on vbulletin.org to add more tabs. Yet I edited the mod to work on the rendered template except I don't know how to render it right now. I want the same template to appear like that so i can edit it normally. I don't want those navbar links on the GunZ page.

How can I do this without replacing the old links? There's a way to do it and register the variables. But nobody is explaining it. Like Do this to this and duplicate this and so on. I want a guide on it. It really can't be that hard, vbulletin 4.x has to be so complicated, 3.x was a great version only reason for going to 4.x is because it looks much more professional.
