Internet Explorer market share at all time low
Sounds like IE is going to become second fiddle to FF, according to this from zdnet anyway http://blogs.zdnet.com/igeneration/?p=4888
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2010/05/58.png Can't say that I am surprised by this, IE has continued to be a clunky browser, unwilling to keep up with the latest technologies and heavily weighed down by the OS. |
I'm not surprised either. IE is probably not going to help anyone browsing forums. At school the other day, I saw all of the problems vB4 had with IE.
|
I have to work with it since most of my clients use Microsoft product that require IE but outside of work I only use FF.
|
Since moving to my newest pc (about two weeks ago) I have (as an experimant) set FF as the default, and so far ive been quite happy. There is one site I have to use IE for as it uses an active X component, and FF just isnt interested in working on it.

The most urgent thing to do is to ban IE6.

I'm starting to have a lot of issues with firefox on both on my Mac and home PC's.
I find chrome a overall much better browser and a lot faster. |

I have been using internet explorer since windows 95, according to wikipedia that was version 1. Version 1.5 came out with NT4. I remember from way back then - if you clicked a link before the page loaded, the browser would crash with an illegal operation error. So you had to wait for the page to fully load before you could do anything. |

When I first tried firefox about 4 years ago, I didn't like it.
I gave firefox a chance 5 weeks ago because I wanted to download a video and firefox has an extension(plug-in) for that, used it for a week and didn't like it. In my opinion, Opera is the best :) |
