vb.org Archive - Padding, Margin, etc

I'm having a lot of trouble finding out where to edit the spaces around objects. For example, the search box in the navbar, I want to move it down 3 pixels so it is centered within the background image I am using. I know exactly what css I need to use ("padding-top: 5px" somewhere within .globalsearch .textboxcontainer span ), and tried editing the stylevar navbarsearch_padding but nothing changed.

Anyone know where I should edit it? I really wish there was a Misc CSS box somewhere within the stylevars to make this easier :(
