vb.org Archive - Page number stylevar not updating

Please excuse me if this is posted in the wrong area, I'm newly added to the Admin team on my forum and newly joined here at vBulletin.org.

A little background: the forum is running on 4.0.3 and has just had the AuG - Green_Black SMC style installed with a few small tweaks.

When reading any particular thread, the page number background for the current page is the same as all other pages. I looked up the StyleVar guide and found that pagination_current_background is the one I need to change. I update it in Stylevar for that style, but when I go back to the forum nothing has changed (even after a force refresh).

Am I missing something?
