render templates in scheduled task
 

Do scheduled tasks render templates? I'm trying to do some caching and I'm running into problems getting a scheduled task, or an item added in the acp in general, to render properly.

If I have the function run when a user enters data it creates the static html file fine. But if it's entered in the acp or if I create a scheduled task to do it, the html file is empty with just a start/stop template comment.

Just curious if I could make it work in the acp/scheduled tasks some way.
