vb.org Archive - Mark threads as unread

We just migrated a forum from SMF to vBulletin 4.03. One complaint I'm getting is that users want a side panel, in the CMS as well as the forum that displays Recent Threads but also indicates whether they have read the thread or not.

SMF displays a New image beside the entry if the Thread changed since I last visited. When I click the link, go read the thread, the New image goes away.

Seems very basic but a big knock against vBulletin so far with our users and we need to figure out a way to implement this functionality.

Is there something out there or is this something somebody could write for a fee?
