Problem upgrade 3.8.5

Hello everyone.
I have a problem with the upgrade of the forum.
I apologize for the bad English, but I am Italian and use a translator.
I have a vb 3.8.4
I upgraded to 3.8.4 PL2, and then I did that for 3.8.5
Despite all the files uploaded via FTP, and did the upgrade from the panel administrator (eg http://www.example.com/forum/install/upgrade.php)
am I getting this error (I uploaded twice overwriting all files):
Quote:

Our vBulletin (3.8.4) Does Not Appear To Be Running That was the downloaded version (3.8.5).

This Was Not Generally MEANS your upgrade successful. Please ensure That You Have uploaded the latest files and click here to try again.
If you are sure you wish to continue with this part of the upgrade, click here.

What can I do?
Thanks

It's just an error, just continue the upgrade. Don't know why it does this though.

Unfortunately I Chisti help here because, even continuing the process, the upgrade does not go well, but remains with vb 3.8.4
I repeated the whole procedure 2 times, without result.
Thank you anyway for your reply.

Click on "Click here to try again" to upgrade

dimmicosacerchi 04-19-2010 02:05 PM

Unfortunately I already tried that.
The command you mentioned nothing happens.
With the one below, ending all the steps, rest always 3.8.4

--------------- Added [DATE]1271690100[/DATE] at [TIME]1271690100[/TIME] ---------------

Could this be causing the problem?
Reading in the members section, there is this statement:
Quote:

vBulletin 3.6 and higher Requires PHP 4.3.3 or greater and MySQL 4.0.16 or greater!
These however are my data:

MySQL Version: 5.1.30
phpMyAdmin: 3.2.4

Ok
Did you upload ALL of the vBulletin 3.8.5 files and did you OVERWRITE the copy that was on the server? If you didn't overwrite them and run finalupgrade.php, then nothing will happen.

dimmicosacerchi 04-19-2010 05:58 PM

I'm not sure I understood, but I'll explain what I did.
I uploaded all files in the upload folder with my ftp program, except the install folder.
Before carimento files, I renamed the file config.php.new in config.php (and I've entered the data in my database).
I uploaded all the files and the contents of folders (in the appropriate folders).
When I finished, I went on: http://www.dimmicosacerchi.it/forum/...nalupgrade.php and, despite the error appeared:
Quote:

Your vBulletin (3.8.4) Does Not Appear To Be Running That was the downloaded version (3.8.5).

This Was Not Generally MEANS your upgrade successful. Please ensure That You Have uploaded the latest files and click here to try again.

If you are sure you wish to continue with this part of the upgrade, click here.
I did all the steps, without success.

Why did you reupload a config.php file that already existed on your forums? It's probably that error that caused this upgrade to not work.

dimmicosacerchi 04-19-2010 06:29 PM

I had reloaded because, to first upload, I forgot to configure it and I overwritten.
Then I tried to upload the old config.php, but the installation was not successful.
Then I configure the new config.php, and I've overwritten again but without success.
