integration with .net

Hi, i will like to integrate vbulletin with a .net website.
the login will be made using vbulletin login, and i just need to know if a user is logged to accept votes or comments in the blog (wich is .net app).
how i can itegrate it?

i readed that i can check the cookie, and compare to a session in a mysql database if its logged or not.

but can you give me more information?
