How to export and save custom styles?
 

I'm sorry for the stupid question but I would like to be able to export all the custom styling I've done to our site. Can someone tell me exactly how thats done?

In the admin CP go to styles & templates. Once your there, go to the top right drop down and scroll down to download. Its pretty straightforward from there.

Okay thanks....Im asking these questions for our designer so forgive me for my ignorance. What format can it be exported in? I'd like to be able to pass this on to him.
The plan is to re-install these styles to two other sites / forums that we are designing.

They will export as XML files and can be imported very simply into another forum by exactly the same link I gave above.

But remember, (and this may not apply to you depending on how you've customised your board) - the Styles export will only export template and styleVars entered directly into the vBulletin database. Things like image files that are stored on your server will not be included. You will need to move any custom files you have created (e.g. jpegs) into the new forums by FTP. If you change folder names or file paths then you will need to edit those links accordingly in your styles settings.

The exporting of styles in this new version of VB is actually WAYYYYYYY better than the old one. I feel like this is the one spot where the StyleVar system REALLY hit the mark.
