Contest based on total forum post count?

Is this possible with or without a mod? I want to start a contest on my site where everytime the site as a whole hits 5,000 posts we award the winner a prize.

It would be nice is there was a mod that did this automaticly, say if user XYZ made post 5,000 there would be a thread started that announced his win and a pm sent to his inbox?
