CMS home page article isn't showing up

So I can create an article, it shows up in my content manager but when I go to the webpage the content is not shown. When I check the source code of the page all the CMS functions loaded correctly.

Any ideas as to why this is happening to me?

Check 2 points:
1. the article is published
2. the section which contained that article is published
