Search not finding the word "delete" in titles

Our search is not finding the word "delete" in thread titles, no matter how we use the Advanced Search. It is able to find the word in the body of posts (or if it is part of the thread prefix), but it is completely ignoring "delete" in title-only searches.

What could be causing this?

We're running 4.0.2.
