Log in problems

Okay after upgrading my site to vBulletin 4.0.2 PL3, new members and some old members have not been able to log in at all. It keeps saying that they have either used the wrong password or username, and we have given them the right username and even changed the password for them many times.

Is there a fix for this?

Try to upgrade it to the latest version, 4.0.2 PL4 and see if that would fix the issue?

Tell your members to delete their cookies and clear the browser cache and give it another trey and see if that would help.

Tried that, didn't work.
I even reset a few of their passwords, tried logging into their name myself. No go.

Can you post the url to your forum with a test account?

Sometime ago I fixed a similiar issue for someone else here. The issue was at the salt field in the db.

borbole, I'm having the same issue. How would I go about fixing the salt field in the db?

Figured it out, you have to do the manual upgrade for pl4, go to www.yoursite.com/install/upgrade_420_salt.php and it should work.
