How to add instant notification on FORUM subscription
 

Hi,

I want to add this option:instant notification by email when user subscribed to forum.

I don't which template should be modified, can someone give me a hint.

Forgive me, I just found the right template and solved this question.

ACP > Go to Style Manager > Choose The Style > Edit Template > Find subscribe_choosetype > Delete the line 15 and 17

Very strange.

I had subscribed a forum via instant notificaiton by email, but after creating a new thread in that forum about 40 minutes, I haven't receive any email.
( I can receive the email of thread subscription. )

It seems this function: innstant notification by email, doesn't work for forum subscription.

What's going wrong? Can someone give me a hint?

There was a mod that allowed forum subscriptions in vb 3.x, but it hasn't been updated for vb4. I don't miss it so much since we have Twitter and Facebook feeds of new threads. Still, I think if the author updated it tomorrow, I'd install it.

Thanks, I also notice that mod for vb 3.x, and that mod only notify new threads.
Unfortunately, Twitter and Facebook are GFWed in China.

My group is a "stock tips" site and we REALLY need this ability !!!
