Hi guys...
If I'm trying to place some content in the location blocked out in the attached picture, which template do I need to edit?

I guess you need to edit postbit template.

You can use the "ad_showthread_firstpost" template group to place something there in the first post of each thread. Or, as they indicated, either postbit or postbit legacy (or both if you allow users to choose) to place it in all posts.
