how to create adverts/sponsor images

does anyone have any good tips for creating advert/sponsor widgets?
i tried using ad management and it mucked up my entire site.

How did it 'mucked up' your entire site? o.0

What about searching a bit in the 'vB 4.0.x Mods' for a fix, I'm sure there'll be one.
