hooks to online location

We have an online virtual magazine which has its own page in the forum root, which is all fine and dandy but i would like some info on the following if possible

To see when members or guest etc are viewing the said magazine as with any other area they view.

I assume there would need to be a hook / plugin to be made to make this happen?
