Newthread conditional

I am trying to remove and add something to newthread, but the conditional isnt working.

<if condition="!in_array($forumid, array(X,Y,Z))"> Stuff to remove</if>

It doesnt work in newthread...Any ideas why?

Have you tried spitting out the variable $forumid and seeing if it exists? You may have to use a different variable for that like $thread['forumid'] or similar.
