Best Photo Gallery for vB 4.0???

Hell all,

I'm trying to integrate a photo gallery software into my forums. I searched on vb.com and this org, and many said they're using photo post, etc. I went to the photo post website, and it says compatible with vB 3.8.x. My Q is:

Is there a software I can buy or get that would integrate nicely into vB 4.0?

I wouldn't mind paying for one if it was quality. Any help would be appreciated.

My org is 6thGenMaxima.org.

Thanks All.

I'm in the same boat as you but my understaning is PhotoPost is compatible with vB4

Though I'm not prepared to pay the price of the forementioned, though I'd gladly contribute to a facility.

with respect to me, I am using scripteen image upload system, surely it is not integrated with vb. it act as stand alone product.

but, I disabled the registering feature in it, hide its link from unregistereds. set its link at navbar tap besides (what's new) and make it as pop up window. things are good

Correct me if I'm wrong but those are gallery searchers that bring existing member gallery images together into one place, not gallery applications that allow you to create categories, upload images, moderate, as a seperate facility, etc.

I've been keeping an eye on mods such as coppermine and photoplog which worked great for version 3 from what I recall.

Others which can be used and intergrated are 4images, but required a little too much hacking for me.

I live in hope LOL

Actually it does let you create albums, add images, AND gather all those albums into a random display or user-specific. It'll add a Gallery button underneath your navbar and once you click on it, it'll bring you a scroll down menu with these options:

- Picture Gallery
- Album Gallery
- Latest Albums
- My Albums
- Add Albums

:D

I'm also going to add a Garage option:

Thanks for that, having read the 'what does it do' it was a little vague. I really need category selection, then users can upload to a specific section with an option for Title, Description and Overview. Once they submit the upload it needs to be Mod approved before people can see. I'd also want the Gallery to be a main Navbar option since this will be a major source of repository for us.

just ask dino 09-17-2010 12:19 PM

is there a photo plug in that allows userts to share all photos in 1 album instead of individual e.g. d.i.y. disasters all users can post to 1 album alos thread it

You could do that with Photoplog.
