vb.org Archive - Using the VB4 DB for Auth

Hey All,

I'm looking of writing a perl or php script in a subdomain of my site but would like user/group auth against the existing mysql db.

My question is: Is there an easy way to do this? and is something already in place to do this?

Being a bit of a rookie at perl based web dev(as opposed to shell/Tk) and cookies and php in general... is it possible to just use the cookie from vb4 on the sub domain and simply use VB4 login functions etc?

Hope this is the right place to post and I haven't overlooked something somewhere else.
