disable adding img to topic
 

When I post a new topic and want to insert an image it doesnt work, because the new controls give me an option to safe the file on my forumserver. (I don't want that!)

In 3.x I had the same image control as in this vbulleting.org forum. (so you can only enter an url)
But in the 4.0.2 I have more controls (also to upload an image from my computer or to Retrieve remote file and reference locally)
But neither of them is working.

I only want to be able to link to an image.. else the datatraffic (already exceeding 300GB p/month) will be huge!)

Good Luck. But keep in mind what you're actually asking. Because you don't want the extra burden, you want to put the burden on someone else. Next you'll be asking how to prevent others from linking to images on your site.
