api for tabs?

I am creating a custom page, and looking through the api, I don't see a way to create a whole new tab like on the profile page. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am not talking about the nav tab at the top, it is the dhtml tabs on the profile page.

I'm pretty sure I saw an article regarding this in the vB4 section. Although, I just used the article in the vB3 section to write mine. I think I just needed to make a couple small changes to get it to work with vB4 (hook names are different).

I only find articles that adds more tabs to the profile page. I want to create a whole new tab altogether on a custom page. Or if I am mistaken pls post link, thx.

Can you post the code please, I can't find the thread.

The article I am talking about is for adding more tabs to the profile page - so, the article that you have already seen.

Lynne do you have a link to this? Basically my profile tabs are maxed out, eg. some only show when the arrow is clicked.

So I am wanting to create a sort of 2nd row of tabs below the others.

I'm wondering if the article you are talking about can do this?

EDIT: Guess I should add I am looking for a vB3 version.

The article I am talking about is by Calorie and it shows how to make custom profile tabs/pages. It doesn't help to make a second row of tabs. You would have to play with the CSS and javascript to do that.

But doesn't vB4 do it by default? So we technically could use the same code or see how it was done?

Yes, the tabs in 4.x will just move to the next line. It doesn't look quite how I'd want it to look, but it does do that. But, they use totally different html/css/javascript. I supposed you could download the 4.x version and then just modify the 3.x version to use the same code.
