Force users to view an announcement
 
I know that there is a mod that forces newly registered users to view a thread. My suggestion is to have a mod that forces people to view an announcement 1 time when a new announcement is announced.

You can user the Notices option.
I have a few notices set up that remind members:
their inbox is almost full
they need to verify their new account
Happy Birthday :D

It doesnt come up as a forum post, but as a separate colors section on the top of the page when they first login.
