Guidelines for Converting VB3 Modifications to VB4?

I have searched both vbulletin.com and vbulletin.org for procedure guidelines to convert VB3 modifications to VB4, but only found an overview article on variable syntax (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=217569). Is there an document/post/article available that can be followed to guide a mod conversion? I want to try my hand at converting an abandoned modification, but unfortunately I do not even know where to start.
