Login to external website
 

I got a vBulletin forum on let's say aaa.com/forum and a chatroom on bbb.com. Would it be possible to add a login check to bbb.com so that only people who are logged in to the forum (aaa.com/forum) would be able to enter?

I guess some sort of external "if condition="$show['member']"-coding should make that possible but I'm a total noob in that case.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Well i have recently started to get a hold on php and this would not be easy it can be done using php you would need to have it hook onto the mysql database it will take alot of playing around with to make it work with vBulletin but start looking at php.

Well, I don't think this would work with the database/MySQL as that one isn't shared between the two of them.

All it needs to check for is if the person is a member of the forums, if he's registered, if there is a username available, anything along those lines (so the example of 'show' I used in the first post wouldn't work but something along these lines should).

If the user indeed is logged in, it should bounce back to the site. If not, the forum homepage should show.

As the most important part of it is the user check in vBulletin and I have absolutely no idea how to do that, or what the path would be in vBulletin, I would need some help with that.
