adding 2 buttons to the CMS's navbar

I have read 3 articles on adding buttons to a navbar but I am still having difficulties in understanding them;

This is what I need;

I want to add these 2 buttons to the navbar "News" & "Videos"

Under the button "News", I want to add 5 links; and the same also for the button "Videos"

Can anyone create the necessary codes and instructions for a dummy please?
