Delete User without showing their posts as "Guest"
Is there a plugin of some sort that allows me to delete a user, but still continue showing his posts as posted under his name, instead of having all his posts changed to posted by "Guest" ?
I have seen some forums where a user that no longer exists still has his posts shown as being posted by his username, but the username is no longer clickable to view the users profile. I don't mind deleting users accounts upon their request, but only if it doesn't rename all their posts to being posted by "Guest." Any ideas? Thanks! |
By default when you delete an account the original username will stay on his/hers posts, but as there is no profile for this user anymore, the name is not linked to a profile.
Usertitle shown will be that of hte Not Logged In / Guest usergroup. If the username on the posts change when you delete a user, then you are running a modification that does this. |
