Possible to have same thread in two forums?

I have vendors on the forum that have their own forum section. However, I also have the more general forums.

So, when a vendor posts a product in their forum, I would like this same thread to also appear in the forum concerning it. I would like it mirrored essentially, not moved.

Is this possible? I want the vendors to have all their products in their forum which they moderate, but also the ability for these threads to be mirrored in the section they concern.

Nice idea. Would be a useful feature.

But also consider how the permissions system would work. If a user has permissions for one forum but not the other, how to handle it?

Just go by permissions wherever the thread originated...

I am also interested in such a feature. On my website we discuss construction projects. We have one forum section which covers the entire world and many regional sections for specific cities. I would like to use the world section to list construction projects which also appear in the regional sections. Right now we have to create two threads to do this, each for the same construction project. But if we could have a thread appear in two different sections then we could have just one thread for a project in the appropriate city section and it would also appear in the global section.
