Download 3.6 mysql database and upload to 3.8
 
How can I download a database from 3.6 and update my 3.8 board with that information? I have the mysql backup downloaded already, but how do i upload it to the new database name that already exists?

You can try impex. Idk if that'll work.

What is your goal?

To start again with that older database and use it to run a 3.8 forum?
If this is the case, then no ImpEx needed. Just upload the database, upload the 3.8 files and perform an upgrade.

If you want to merge this older database into an existing forum, then you will need to use ImpEx.
