Is this generally the best mod for embedding widescreen youtube vids?

I've been searching here and it looks like these are the recognized best mods for incorporating this feature.

But it looks like this works best for standard 4:3 aspect ratio youtube vids. And now that most vids on youtube are of the widescreen varity, is there any setting to accommodate the widescreen vids?

This poster seems to say it's just a simple setting. Can anyone verify if this is the case?
