how to add a tab to the user profiles?

wondering how we can add a tab to the user profiles page.

we are running VB 3.8.4

we would like to add a tab for the iTrader to user's profiles.

There is an article in the vB3 articles forum on how to do this. I believe it is written by Calorie.
