One member's usergroup dependant on another member's... ?

I have a usergroup that is available to those that purchase a paid subscription (VIP).

Often times these users have a significant other like a wife or a husband.

I would like to offer them a discount or free ride for their significant other, but it must be dependent on at least one active subscription.

Is it possible to have UserA automatically demoted from "VIP usergroup" when UserB is demoted?
