Restore / Default Style?

What is the best way to reset the styles back to the single default that comes preinstalled?

I had an admin go and make changes which subsequently screwed up all the styles we have installed and subsequent styles. Ive tried reverting the styles: templates and vars. However it seems the recent vb patch has prevent a full reversion. Ive spend hours trying to figure out what was done. However it would be much easier if i could just wipe the styles we have now and go back to the default with well.. default settings.

Whats the best way to go about this? Dump the style related tables and run the relating sql from the install files?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

Create a new style without the parent style....Then you have default style again...

ACP==>style manager==>add new style==>just choose a name==>save

am a newbie myself so i hope it works

No luck, doing so still yields styles that have the botched changes (ex cms page's columns are incorrectly aligned, something has a padding or margin that compacts the 3 widget columns leaving a great deal of space to the right, no padding on columns themselves-they appear to be smashed together)

If you want to restore the default style go to Style Manager > Add New Style > and type in Default vBulletin where it says title.

Hi there,

Just to contribute to this thread instead of starting my own, I've done as outlined above and it hasn't solved the problem for me. I deleted a customised style recently and wanted to return to the default style. So I created a new style and titled it Default vBulletin but it hasn't worked.

When I view the home page of the forum, all I get is a completely blank screen.

Any more advice? Clearly I've messed up somewhere! I've checked in admin cp settings that the style is selected for all members and still the same result.

Please ignore the above., I managed to solve it by re-running the last upgrade file as it imported the master style back into the system. Crisis solved, phew!
