Archive old threads/posts to static HTML pages
 
I'm sure there would be a way to do this without becoming too huge a project, and I haven't started investigating myself yet, but I would love a product/script which can archive old threads to static HTML pages. Add in a bit of magic for the redirects and 90% of the forum could be archived static HTML with zero or minimal database/php overheads.

Permissions would be a big spanner in the works, but most forums hav 99% of content available to unregistered users anyway this may not be an issue.
