I have read several threads on how to use the global.php to authenticate a user on a non VB page.
My question takes it a step further. How can I authenticate a user, but not have them listed in the "Users Online" section. More specifically, I don't want the user who visits the non VB page to be counted for a visit to the boards which will then mark all the new threads read, when he actually hasn't had a chance to read them. Is it possible to just check for the cookie and get the name/ID etc without counting the visit?? |
Anyone?
