How do you take out certain forums from "new posts" page?

When someone clicks new posts, I don't want posts from certain forums to be seen there. How can I take them out? I am operating vbulletin 3.8.4

edit the link to

search.php?do=getnew&exclude=18,22,27

the numbers being the forums you want to leave out...
