Can someone modify this plugin to work with version 4.0.x?

Please note that "someone" may not modifiy an existing modification and release it without permission of the original author.

I know that, I am not the one who will be doing the modification. I am just asking if someone knows a similar solution or they may modify the mod after going through the proper procedures.

I have used this mod on my 3.8 board before and I just migrated to 4.0.

I am sorry if my post was a bit shady but I never intended to break any site rules.
