Is there a way to change a users display name while keeping the same login info. I had this in SMF 1.1.11 but now I can't seam to get this in my new VB 4.0.

No, there is no such facility in default vbulletin.

I made a request on vb.com to allow email address as the login (easy to remember) and then usernames can be set to something else, e.g. a full name and title "His Right Hon. Ronald D. Fitzgerald-Frazer, Sheriff of Lower-Saxony" without THAT having to be the log-in.

You can use a custom profile field, but thats a pain to use and manage with all the template changes.
