Extremely laggy display in IE8!

Not sure what is wrong, but when i try to load my vbulletin pages in IE8, it seems to hang just after the navbar is loaded. Then it waits for about 30s, before it displays the rest of the page. FF displays much faster. I know that IE renders the page differently, but when i try loading other sites' vbulletin pages, they don't get the same issues.
