RSS Question

Hi,

I finally figured out how to post RSS feeds, my question is I perfer to post the complete article vs displaying the link for someone to click on. Is this possible? If so what would the code be?

Thanks

BUMP!

I need to figure out how I can get the complete news article posted vs having someone click the link and leave my sight. I want them to stay on my site.

HELP!

I am unaware of any mod to do this. Probably because of copyright issues.

Videx is right due to copyright laws. The other way to do what you want is look at these things and search them yourself and write up a post.

So how is it different if the news story in only a small paragraph and the first paragraph is posted? If you post the complete article it gives reference to the article.

How exactly does it know to only post the first paragraph and then some? Something must be telling it to grab so many characters. Is this on vbulletin side? If so where?

Thanks

Do you really want someone to grab all your content and post it on their site, with or without a link?

AFAIK, your own outgoing RSS only includes the thread title and a link, no content at all.

I'm only talking about news stories from let's say gov't agencies like army. They have news feeds that I want to bring into a specific message forum. If I have that message area dedicated and in the header of the forum descrption fully describe where the news is coming from. I have no issues with having a link, I just would like the complete news story to be posted to keep the reader on my site. I'm not trying to hide where the news story is from. Just trying to make things flow and easier.
