Forumbits overlapping forum description

I can't seem to get it sorted. The forum description linebreak is for some reason really strange on my forum.

Changed it to a fixed with of 1000px with sidebars and its just too compressed.

See here: http://www.racedepartment.com/forum.php

In some cases the green subscription button overlaps the text.

Everlasting fame and glory for the one that helps me solving it.

Everything looks perfectly normal to me on your site. Perhaps an image with you pointing out the issue would help. If you just want the description to take up less room, add this to additional.css:
HTML Code:

.forumbit_post .foruminfo .forumdata .datacontainer {
width:88%;}

Change 88% to something less.

I've attached a screenshot. I think it only occurs if you are logged in. As you can see its all just a little too tight :)

Did you try what I suggested?

Bram H 02-06-2010 10:25 AM

No result unfortunately :(

Link to your page? And *exactly* what css did you add to your site and in which template?

Bram H 02-15-2010 12:10 PM

Link is in my sig :)

I did exactly as you posted and put below in the additional.css template.

.forumbit_post .foruminfo .forumdata .datacontainer {
width:88%;}

Changed 88 to 50 to see any difference, but not result.

This is all that is in your additional.css for that style ( http://www.racedepartment.com/client...additional.css ):
HTML Code:

.postcontent a {
text-decoration:underline;}

.prefix {width: 70px;
        display: inline-block;}

I don't know where you put the css, but it isn't in there.

It didnt work so i removed it after the test :)

Updated the forum to 4.0.2. just ago and the problems are gone! Happy vB'er again :D

Thanks for all the help Lynne, appreciated :up:
