Change header for different forums?
I would like to change my header depending on which forum a user is in. This is to create a more unique identity for each forum. i know that i can create a new skin for each forum and assign it, but i figure that will really increase the loads as it has to load a new skin for every forum. Rather i wld just like to change the header portion. Is there a way to do that?
Tks! |
Make a new style with only the headers different. This will not influence performance.

But this would not change the header automatically, if the user changes the forum.
Isn't this possible? Thanks! Bruno Edit: This one helps: Conditional Templates, so asking there for further help (Different Logos for first breadcrumb not every subforum) |
And why would that not work?

I did not found any setting "Use Style X in Forum x,y,z and Style Y in a,b,c" ...
|
You can set a style in the forum settings in your AdminCP for each forum listed.

Ah! There it is :) Thanks!
But since an unnecessary restriction for users (who can select their style colour or fixed width), i prefer the solution via condition in the template header. Unfortunately the forumid isn't known at that moment... still waiting for an alternative... (vB4: Different Logo for different Forums? (Solution for 3.8 does not work any more) |
Are you asking for vB3 or vB4?
