I had once asked if we could add a image to our site with vBulletin's copyright instead of the default text, and they told me yes.

So I have created this image for mine, can you guys tell me if it's enough of the information that's needed?

if it's for 3.8 then I'd say you've probably got it covered, however if its for 4.0 you probably need vBulletin Solutions and not Jelsoft in there, and you may want to double check they still allow it.

I don't think they'd care really. Tbh it's even easier to see now. Visit the site (Trasion), and look at the footer, it's pretty big and easy to see.

What's the point of putting your copyright with theirs when they made the software?

Um, because almost all of us have our own copyright in our footer already. The original authorship on your website is copyrighted to you, in case you didn't know that already. ;)

lol, i don't see a point in copyrighting when you own the domain, and the site. Having a fine logo replacing the default vb one is good enough. :D

Thanks guys. I sent a support ticket, and they said it was fine, as long as you include everything from the original (except the Version X.X.X).

Anything you create and affix to some tangible form is automatically copyrighted in the US. You can put the symbol there without registering, which is what I think your thinking of. You don't have to register to use the symbol, but it's a good idea to do so.

A domain name is not the same as a copyright, by the way. The rights are not at all the same.

But you own the domain. Isnt that enough? Good luck Trasion!
