Front Page Customization - Please Help

Hi

We recently upgraded to 4.0 and also installed the recent update which did fix a lot of issues, few more pending, but an improvement.

Our current issue is that we used SubDreamer in the past as our CMS and have a front/home page that looks like this:
http://www.tidalfish.com/
The right hand section up top is a place we run banners, none in there now, but they are coming.

We want to move totally to the VB CMS, but we need our new VB page to look like our old homepage. We have VB looking like based on what we know: http://www.tidalfish.com/forums/content.php

Can we customize the CMS homepage more? Can we pay someone to do this customization?

Thanks!

You may create a widget to put ads in and then add it to your layout in the upper right corner. You may want to look at the widgets in the 4.0 mods area and see if there already is one.

Hi Thanks.

My question is more in regards to is there a way to customize the whole lay out so we can get VB to look like our old homepage. I was explaining what is in the right hand section up top of the old homepage so if you were looking at it and it came up blank you understood why it was blank. We have ad serving software we use to plug in, but what we need is the ability to reformat the VB cms front page so we can get it to look like our old one?

Thanks!

Brando

You can play with the grids and see about getting the layout how you want it. I've seen some users do some pretty neat things by editing the grids (sorry, I never saved any links).

Thanks Lynne. Do you know of anyone we could simply hire to make the layout change for us?

You may post in this forum if you wish to hire someone - Requests For Paid Services. Read the notices at the top before hiring.
