Current 3.8.X owner upgrading to 4.0

Sorry I'm new to this. But do I have to pay to upgrade to 4.0. This is what confuses me. I go into my members section upgraded to 3.8.4 just fine. Then when I go to upgrade to 4.0 (it's listed in my download section), I get nothing. It continues to stay at 3.8.4 no matter how many times I go through the process of the upgrade.

So do I need to purchase 4.0 even though I am already a customer? That's kind of how it looks like on the main vbulletin.com site as well. Saw an option that said 3.8 to 4.0 "purchase."

You can purchase an upgrade for the total price of $175 as a customer. (This is for vBulletin version 4) IMHO it is probably worth it to pay for another license then you can have two licenses, one for v3+ and one for v4+. - This is just for an additional $20 to purchase a new 4.0 license. (At $195)

If you are an exisiting 3.8 License holder, you get a free upgrade to vB4 Forum. You only need to pay if you want to upgrade to vB4 Suite (CMS,Forum,Blog).
You can find your vB4 forum download option jus below Download vBulletin3.x.

You could ask more about this at vbulletin.com

As per this forums description: Questions regarding default vBulletin functionality or licensing and pricing should be asked on the Official company website: vBulletin Pre-sales Questions

vBulletin.org has no access to license information and you won't be able to get an answer for your situation on this site.

Really? I thought it was $175 to o to a valid 4.0 license once your v3 support expires.

Mine expires in three weeks and I don't have $175 to upgrade.
